iPhone: The Tech Gadget Of The Year?
Before the launch of the Apple iPhone, millions of Apple enthusiasts as well as non-techies alike awaited the release of the Apple iPhone. A lot of publicity was directed at this product that was anticipated to revolutionize the world of hand held mobile devices. Although the Apple iPhone's goal was to sell approximately ten million units of the iphone on its first year of release, they sold close to 300,000, yes, three hundred thousand units within its first thirty hours on the market. So what is it about the iPhone that makes it demand so much publicity? Well, you do not have to be a big fan of Apple or a gadget freak to appreciate this creative new innovation. If you are indeed an Apple fanatic, or a wireless phone geek, a mobile music lover, a multimedia or game player, a digital camera phone enthusiast, or whatever other technological fanatic you may be, the iPhone may just well be the ideal product for you. The Apple iPhone is an all-in-one wireless mobile smart phone, built with the latest innovative technology, easily making it the must-have product of the year.
Apart from its sleek compact design that even surpasses the iPod, the iPhone’s built in multi-touch screen has to be its most attractive and inovative feature. Instead of housing mechanical buttons like other hand held mobiles, the iPhone features a 3.5-inch touch screen protected by optical-quality glass. The screen is also large enough to allow the use of several fingers at once for easy multitasking and navigation of the unit. Every mechanical button assigned with specific functions on the iPhone has been replaced with virtual touch screen buttons. This includes user friendly scroll through menus, dialing of the phone, SMS, text and email messages, all by just by tapping on the screen displays.
The iPhone is also equipped with Apple Computers latest operating system, the Mac OS X. Using this operating system, it enables the iPhone user to access the internet using the Safari web browser. Having this operating system built into the web browser, it allows iPhone users to surf the internet as if it were any other Apple desktop or laptop computer. All these built in features makes the Apple iPhone a very powerful multitasking device, especially when compared with the other smart phones available on the market. No other wireless phone on the market today has all this functionality.
As more reviews are published, the attention and hype that the iPhone has earned is much well deserved. All the hoopla prior to its release are in fact true and there is no doubt the Apple iPhone will increase in popularity once it is released in other countries.
